CalCurious is an offline-first educational app providing interactive math visualizations. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

1. Data We Collect

By default, we do not collect any personal data.

• Preset lessons bundled with the app (read-only).
• User-created snapshots and settings stored locally.
• Exported files (PNG or JSON) when you use the export/share feature.

2. How We Use Data

• All data is stored locally and used only for restoring state, rendering visualizations, or exporting files at your request.
• Exported files are shared only when you choose to share them using your device's services.

3. Permissions

• Storage access (only when saving or exporting files).
• No access to location, contacts, camera, or microphone for core features.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

All data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Exported files may persist if copied to cloud storage. To delete all app data:

• Use in-app data management (if available).
• Or uninstall the app / clear app storage via device settings.

5. Sharing & Exporting

Files you export or share may be handled by the receiving app/service according to their privacy practices. CalCurious does not control these third-party actions.

6. Security

• Local data stored using Hive.
• We recommend device-level security (screen lock, encryption) for safety.

7. Children’s Privacy

CalCurious is not targeted at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app or legal changes. Updated versions will have a new effective date. If new data collection occurs, we will inform users as required.
